Well it is starting. Summer and the everyday adventures that come with it. Today was an outing to the park. We made it there only an half hour past the time we were planning on. Jocelyn insisted on doing her own hair, which means not combing it and putting a headband in and calling it done.:) Ethan refused to wear shorts and so he was put in a pair of long pants.(a little too warm for the day) When we got to the park my children disappeared in the toys and sand. I talked with some other moms that were there while trying to keep an eye on my children. Jocelyn loves to dig in the sand and immediately found something to start digging with (you know what I mean, tossing sand around like she is the only person at the park). Ethan loves the slides, the only thing that would make them better would be if the little babies would stay out of his way when he was going down them. I think we only had two run-ins, they just happened to be with the same little girl.:) Did I mention that my son loves to be chased. Every time I turned around I was asking him to come back to the park and stay out of the street. he would laugh and not come back. so then i try to go bring him back and he gets all excited and starts running. okay i am used to that, but today he decided to run when there was an oncoming minivan in the street. well my heart was pounding and i was running and yelling stop and looking back and forth from Ethan to the minivan and yelling stop to both of them. the lady driving the minivan saw me running and stopped, Ethan got scared and started crying because I was running at him like a crazy lady and screaming. I felt bad that he was so scared, but i just didn't want him to get hurt. I had already tried explaining to him three times that morning why he shouldn't go into the street, but I guess he didn't get it and I will have to find a different way of explaining it to him, maybe he just isn't old enough to understand. Everyday Adventures...Ready or Not here we come!
